Investors, she explained, are increasingly asking where they should base themselves to do business on the continent, and Mauritius offers reassurance through its hybrid legal system, regulatory framework and dispute resolution mechanisms.<\/p><p>\u201cMauritius offers rule of law, a stable democratic country and a legal system familiar to both common law and civil law investors.\u201d She also highlighted the country\u2019s Supreme Court, Commercial Court, its international arbitration mechanisms and the Privy Council as ultimate court of appeal.<\/p><p>For international families and entrepreneurs, Mauritius is also becoming attractive as a relocation and succession-planning jurisdiction. \u201cWe\u2019ve entered into a new era,\u201d she noted. \u201cTraditionally, everyone came here to structure and invest somewhere else.
