An art exhibition is being held from 16th May 2025 to 27th June 2025 at the EDB Art Gallery. Some 12 local artists are showcasing their captivating artworks.

Concept Note : The Black & White picture depicts a cultural moment where young children are being introduced to the RAVANNE, a traditional percussion instrument integral to the musical heritage of certain regions, particularly in the Indian islands such as Mauritius & Reunion. The Ravanne is generally crafted from a cylindrical wooden frame with a drumhead made of treated goat skin. Learning to play the Ravanne is not merely an acquisition of musical talent but a rite of passage that connects the younger generation with their cultural roots and ancestral traditions.
