After an absence of nearly a decade, Mauritius made a successful return to Source Fashion UK 2026, one of the United Kingdom’s leading apparel sourcing exhibitions, held from 7 to 9 July 2026 at ExCeL London. Organised by the Economic Development Board (EDB), the Mauritius Pavilion brought together 11 leading textile and apparel manufacturers, showcasing the country’s expertise in premium, sustainable and ethically manufactured apparel.
The Pavilion was officially inaugurated by H.E. Dr Rajeshwar Jeetah, High Commissioner of the Republic of Mauritius to the United Kingdom, who reaffirmed the High Commission’s commitment to supporting Mauritian exporters by facilitating business introductions and strengthening commercial ties with the UK market.
Representing the breadth of Mauritius’ manufacturing capabilities, exhibitors presented a diverse range of products, including knitwear, premium cashmere, denim, luxury shirting, tailoring and children’s wear. Throughout the three-day exhibition, participating companies engaged with international buyers, retailers, sourcing offices and fashion brands through a series of business meetings and networking sessions aimed at generating new commercial opportunities.
Mauritius’ participation attracted strong interest from the international sourcing community, with buyers recognising the country’s reputation for quality, flexibility and ethical manufacturing. Discussions focused on Mauritius’ ability to deliver premium, value-added products for specialised market segments, while several companies reported promising new business leads and strengthened relationships with existing clients.
The successful participation highlights the continued resilience and innovation of the Mauritian textile and apparel sector while reinforcing the country’s position as a trusted sourcing destination for premium fashion. It also underscores the growing export potential in the UK and wider European markets.
As part of its ongoing mandate to promote Mauritian exports and international market access, the EDB will continue to support the industry’s global outreach, further enhancing the visibility of the Made in Mauritius brand and creating new opportunities for local manufacturers.
