On 28th May 2025, the Economic Development Board Mauritius received the visit of H.E Mr. Gaëtan Siew, new Mauritian Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China. Discussions were centered on opportunities for exports and FDI attraction, with focus on the Mauritius-China FTA and the RMB Clearing Hub. The meeting concluded with a commitment for implementation of a joint action plan for Mauritius-China economic consolidation.
