EDB signs MOU with QFC to foster collaboration and development in the financial sector
The Economic Development Board of Mauritius has recently signed an MoU with Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority to establish a strong collaborative partnership for the enhancement of the Financial Services Ecosystem in both Mauritius and Qatar.
Under this agreement, a focused attention will be paid to Financial Sector collaboration, notably in the field of Fintech and Islamic Finance. Additionally, in accordance with the objectives carved out of this MoU, the promotion and international development of both Financial Centres as well as capacity building will also be addressed.
During this first official visit of EDB Representatives to Doha, meetings were also held with Qatar Investment Authority, Invest Qatar and Qatar Chamber and members of the Business Community of Qatar.
