EOI – Participation in 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE)

The Economic Development Board (EDB) intends to participate in the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will be held from 05-10 November 2025 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, China.

The China International Import Expo, organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, is an exponent of international trade, and is an import-themed fair that covers various industries, such as commercial services, medical technology, food products, household appliances, automobiles and fashion. The event takes place annually and serves as a meeting point to boost international trade and encourage purchasing agreements between suppliers and buyers. The last edition of CIIE welcomed 3,496 exhibitors from 129 countries and regions, attracting more than 852,000 visitors.

The EDB is inviting interested local operators to register to be part of the Mauritian Delegation and showcase their unique products and services under the Mauritius Pavillion at the Expo. Participation offers significant strategic advantages, notably due to the benefits conferred by the Mauritius–China Free Trade Agreement (FTA). It provides Mauritian exporters with preferential access to the Chinese market, including duty-free treatment on thousands of products. This makes participation in CIIE more impactful, as Mauritian businesses can showcase products that are now more competitively priced in China due to reduced tariffs.
