The EU Ambassador Oskar Benedikt met this week with Mr Rajah Ramdaursingh, newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Economic Development Board Mauritius (EDBM), to discuss opportunities to further strengthen the EU–Mauritius economic partnership.
Discussions focused on continued EU support for business and regulatory reforms, with a view to creating an enabling and competitive environment for businesses and investors.
The meeting also explored ways to further increase trade and investment between Mauritius and the European Union, including through stronger business-to-business connections and greater awareness of opportunities under the recently concluded EU–ESA4 deepened Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).
