Mr Rajah Ramdaursingh assumes office as Chief Executive Officer of the Economic Development Board

The Economic Development Board (EDB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Geerja Shankar (Rajah) Ramdaursingh, GOSK, FCA, as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), in accordance with the provisions of the EDB Act. He assumed office on Monday, 7 September 2026.

Mr Ramdaursingh brings four decades of extensive experience in domestic and international investment and finance. He has held senior positions in banking, private equity, corporate finance, project finance and investment management. His international experience also includes the establishment and management of private equity funds across several emerging markets, as well as the management of a fund listed on the London and Mauritius Stock Exchanges.

Mr Ramdaursingh’s expertise and insight in international investment, strategic direction and corporate leadership, combined with his deep understanding of Mauritius and emerging markets, will be instrumental in advancing the EDB’s mission to attract investment, facilitate business and drive sustainable economic growth for Mauritius.

The entire EDB team extends its warmest congratulations to Mr Ramdaursingh and assures him of its full support as the organisation embarks on this promising new journey under his leadership.
