We are delighted to announce that the Economic Development Board (EDB) will participate in the 24th Edition of Africa Down Under (ADU), taking place from 2 to 4 September 2026 in Perth, Australia. The event provides a strategic platform to position Mauritius as a trusted international financial centre and a gateway for investment into Africa. EDB will showcase the strengths of Mauritius’ financial services sector, its robust regulatory framework, and investor-friendly business environment.
The mission aims to attract quality investment and promote Mauritius as a preferred base for accessing African markets. EDB will also engage with Australian financial institutions to build strategic partnerships and foster business collaboration.
Opportunities for cooperation in education, innovation, and the ocean economy will be explored. Participation at the event will contribute to strengthening Mauritius–Australia bilateral economic relations. It will also enhance Mauritius’ visibility among Australian investors and businesses.
Through this engagement, Mauritius seeks to reinforce its role as a leading platform for investment, trade, and sustainable growth in Africa.

ADU is one of the leading forum for Australian-African business and government relations and was first launched to raise awareness of Australia’s interests in African mining and energy. The three-day meeting has evolved to become one of the largest African-focused mining event held outside the continent itself which is reflected by the number of high-profile participants who attend each year.
