The SheTrades Mauritius Hub in collaboration with the Indian Business Council held a Capacity Building programme on Banking Facilities on Wednesday 14th August 2024 at the EDB.
The workshop was aimed at fostering financial literacy in women entrepreneurs so that they can choose the right banking solutions for their needs throughout their entrepreneurial journey.
Choosing from an array of financial services geared to businesses could be a daunting task. Through this programme, the entrepreneurs learnt how to find the right financial partners for funding and growing their businesses with confidence. It is in line with the Hub’s strategy of promoting gender parity and the greater inclusion of women in trade.
Two seasoned professionals from the Banking sector, Mr Ritesh Abbi and Mrs Anubha Bhargava, delivered this transformational workshop. Mr Abbi, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director at Kingsman Wealth Fund, and Mrs Anubha Bhargava, vice-president at the SBI Mauritius Ltd, have numerous years of experience in the Banking Industry. Both gave a good understanding of how to assess the services offered by financial institutions to ensure that they are a good fit for specific business needs.
Female entrepreneurs are encouraged to participate in these enriching workshops and use the platform for networking with like-minded women. Due to high demand, follow-up meetings on Financial Management are also being offered in parallel with these monthly programmes.
