Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Mauritius and the United Arab Emirates
The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) which was signed between Mauritius and the United Arab Emirates on 22 July 2024 in Dubai, was witnessed by the prime ministers of Mauritius, Hon. Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, and the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
This agreement, UAE’s first with an African country, will increase trade, investment, and private sector cooperation. This partnership will lead to substantial growth and draw foreign direct investment (FDI) in the fintech, healthcare, and tourism sectors.
