EDB Hosts Eswatini Delegation on Benchmarking Tour

On this occasion, Mrs. Nirmala Jeetah, Director of Bio Industry and Project Development and representative of the ITC SheTrades Mauritius Hub, delivered a detailed presentation on the investment and business environment in Mauritius. She emphasized the vital role of strong collaboration between the public and private sectors in fostering a conducive business climate.
Mrs. Jeetah provided a comprehensive overview of the evolution of business reforms in Mauritius, highlighting key milestones and strategic initiatives that have contributed to enhancing the country’s competitiveness. She outlined the policy advocacy role of the Economic Development Board (EDB), emphasizing the importance of reform champions across sectors to drive effective implementation.
In addition, she laid emphasis upon the need for robust legal frameworks to support economic diversification together with the critical role of inter-ministerial coordination and stakeholder engagement. She also highlighted that clear and consistent communication following the implementation of reforms is essential to ensure transparency, secure stakeholder buy-in and achieve long-term impact.
