EDB opens office in Dubai
The Economic Development Board (EDB) has expanded in Dubai with the opening of a new representative office at the Dubai Chambers headquarters on Wednesday, 16th of March 2022. This initiative is the result of the fruitful discussions held in January 2022 between Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Development, Dr. the Honourable Renganaden Padayachy and Mr. Abdul -Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair, President of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, and Industry. During this meeting, the Minister of Finance recommended to strengthen and broaden the partnership between EDB Mauritius and the Dubai Chambers of Commerce. As a result of this discussion, a representative office is being made available to the EDB free of charge for the next two years.
During his speech, the Minister of Finance acknowledged the tremendous effort made by the President of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce for allowing Mauritius to open an office in Dubai in such a short lapse of time.
