Energy Efficiency Audit Scheme for the Manufacturing Sector
In line with Budgetary Measure 2023/2024, the Ministry of Industrial Development, SMEs and Cooperatives (Industrial Development Division) in collaboration with the Energy Efficiency Management Office, has launched an Energy Efficiency Audit Scheme for the Manufacturing Sector. The Scheme aims to accelerate the transition to a carbon neutral industry in Mauritius.
In this context, the Ministry is inviting applications from all Manufacturing Enterprises (having an annual turnover above Rs 10 million) which intend to embark on an energy audit exercise.
The Scheme provides for a One-Off Grant of 75% of the energy audit cost, up to a maximum of Rs 300,000, to be incurred on a production site (on a first-come first-served basis).
Interested Manufacturing Enterprises (excluding enterprises in sugar and energy production), willing to benefit from the Scheme, are required to either download Application Forms available at: https://industry.govmu.org
Duly filled Application Forms, along with supporting documents, should be addressed to the:
