Mauritius – Africa: Trade & Investment Forum

The recent launch of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) marks a milestone towards deeper regional integration. The African continent holds immense opportunities for trade and investment. It has a young and growing population, abundant natural resources, large markets and great potential for digital transformation. In a bid to harness the potential of the AfCFTA, catalyze FDI and facilitate regional value chains, EDB will be hosting the Mauritius-Africa: Trade and Investment Forum in 3 rotating countries in Africa.

The event will comprise of Business Forums and Buyer-seller meetings which will take place from 13 – 21 October in:

Kenya, NairobiTanzania, Dar-es SalaamBotswana, Gaborone
13 -14 Oct 202217-18 Oct 202220 – 21 Oct 2022

Led by the Chairman of the Economic Development Board, Mr. H. Ramnial, and Mr. G. Bucktowonsing, Director of Industry at EDB, the Mauritian delegation will comprise of 25 local operators, across the spectrum of manufacturing sectors, from light engineering to agro-processing. The event will impart invaluable insights into the manufacturing landscape of Mauritius, Mauritian offerings, current strategies, regional trade integration and investment opportunities in Mauritius.
