Communique – Appointment of Chief Executive Officer of the Economic Development Board (EDB)
The Economic Development Board (EDB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Abhimanu (Mahen) Kundasamy as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), in accordance with the provisions of the EDB Act.
Mr. Kundasamy has officially assumed office today, 2 May 2025, and will lead the EDB in its mission to drive sustainable economic growth, investment and trade promotion and strategic development initiatives.
With extensive experience in economic diplomacy, international trade relations, and cross-border investment facilitation, Mr. Kundasamy brings a distinguished track record in fostering global partnerships and advancing national economic interests. His expertise in diplomacy and multilateral engagements will further strengthen the EDB’s role in enhancing Mauritius’ position as a competitive investment destination and a key catalyst for national economic progress.
The Board of Directors and the entire EDB team extend their warmest congratulations to Mr. Kundasamy and provide their full support as he undertakes this pivotal role.
