SolarX Grand Challenge 2022-23

Invest India in collaboration with the International Solar Alliance (ISA), has launched the SolarX Grand Challenge to promote innovative solutions to persistent challenges in the solar energy sector in Africa. The SolarX Grand Challenge 2022-23 aims to promote innovations that are implementable, cost-effective, and scalable solutions.

10 problem statements have been identified for this challenge to promote innovation in the solar energy space. 20 winning solutions would be rewarded through:

1. Cash Grant worth USD 15,000 will be offered to each of the 20 selected startups as a winning prize.
2. Access to Market for selected innovators, assisted through an in-house acceleration program.

Under this initiative, a Capacity-building session is being organized in Ebene, Mauritius, in collaboration with EDB Mauritius and the High Commission of India. The session will focus on the technical knowledge of the problem statements, knowledge sharing on enabling the growth of a startup, and an overview of the solar energy ecosystem.
